These letters were written to Wilbur and Catherine Mosher from Gertrude Pearson, Phebe Mosher Pearson, Katie Pearson, Jim Clark and Abbie Mosher from about 1888 to 1892.

The originals are faded and nearly unreadable. They were carefully and lovingly copied and typed by Lora Lee Jensen. Lora Lee said she sometimes had to guess at some words. Lora Lee adds;

"While these people all had hard lives and the letters are not particularly newsworthy, I am deeply moved by the closeness and caring those folks felt for one another. Their enjoyment of simple pleasures and hopes and dreams for better times stir my emotions.

It would have been nice for them to know they were 'Mayflower Folk.'

I hope this finds you in good health and that you will enjoy this peek at the past."
