     Benjamin Coffin was born in 1685. He was the son of Honorable James Coffin and Mary Severance. Benjamin Coffin died on 20 January 1703; was washed overboard and drowned between Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.¹

     Love Gardner was born on 2 May 1672. She married James Coffin Jr, son of Honorable James Coffin and Mary Severance.
     Her married name was Coffin.

     Ruth Gardner was the daughter of John Gardner. Ruth Gardner married James Coffin Jr, son of Honorable James Coffin and Mary Severance, on 19 May 1692.
     As of 1692,her married name was Coffin.

     Demaris Gayer was born on 24 October 1673. She married Nathaniel Coffin, son of Honorable James Coffin and Mary Severance, on 17 August 1692 at Nantucket Island. Demaris Gayer died on 6 September 1764 at age 90.
     Her married name was Coffin.

     John Coffin Esq was born at Nantucket. He was the son of Honorable James Coffin and Mary Severance. John Coffin Esq died in 1747.

     George Coffin was born in 1693 at Nantucket Island. He was the son of James Coffin Jr and Ruth Gardner. George Coffin died in 1727.

     Sarah Coffin was born in 1695 at Nantucket Island. She was the daughter of James Coffin Jr and Ruth Gardner. Sarah Coffin married Jeremiah Gardner, son of John Gardner, in 1711 at Nantucket Island. Sarah Coffin died on 1 December 1739.
     As of 1711,her married name was Gardner.

     Nathan Coffin was born in 1696 at Nantucket Island. He was the son of James Coffin Jr and Ruth Gardner. Nathan Coffin died on 11 December 1768.
     Nathan Coffin was a sea captain.

     Captain Elisha Coffin was born in 1699 at Nantucket Island. He was the son of James Coffin Jr and Ruth Gardner. Captain Elisha Coffin died on 27 April 1722; ship was hit by a fierce gale shortly after their boat set out on a whale expedition of six weeks. The entire crew was never heard from again. It was Nantucket's first tragedy in the whale trade and it left many widows.¹

     Joshua Coffin was born in 1701 at Nantucket Island. He was the son of James Coffin Jr and Ruth Gardner.      Jeremiah Gardner was the son of John Gardner. Jeremiah Gardner married Sarah Coffin, daughter of James Coffin Jr and Ruth Gardner, in 1711 at Nantucket Island.

     Elizabeth Coffin was born in 1703 at Nantucket Island. She was the daughter of James Coffin Jr and Ruth Gardner. Elizabeth Coffin died in 1774.

     Pricilla Coffin was born on 3 March 1708. She was the daughter of James Coffin Jr and Ruth Gardner. Pricilla Coffin died on 27 April 1792 at age 84.
     Her married name was Gardner.

     Mary Coffin was born on 29 May 1710. She was the daughter of James Coffin Jr and Ruth Gardner. Mary Coffin died on 19 July 1775 at age 65.

     James Coffin was born on 10 April 1713. He was the son of James Coffin Jr and Ruth Gardner. James Coffin died on 11 April 1784 at age 71.

     Ruth Coffin was born on 17 January 1716. She was the daughter of James Coffin Jr and Ruth Gardner. Ruth Coffin died on 30 September 1801 at age 85.

     Benjamin Coffin was born on 3 April 1705. He was the son of Nathaniel Coffin and Demaris Gayer. Benjamin Coffin married Deborah Macy. Benjamin Coffin married Jedidah Hussey on 5 February 1726. Benjamin Coffin died on 3 November 1780 at age 75.

     Dorcas Coffin was born on 22 July 1693 at Nantucket Island. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Coffin and Demaris Gayer. Dorcas Coffin died on 8 May 1778 at age 84.

     Christian Coffin was born on 8 April 1695 at Nantucket. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Coffin and Demaris Gayer.

     Lydia Coffin was born on 16 May 1697. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Coffin and Demaris Gayer.

     William Coffin was born on 1 December 1699 at Nantucket Island. He was the son of Nathaniel Coffin and Demaris Gayer.

     Charles Coffin was born on 1 January 1702. He was the son of Nathaniel Coffin and Demaris Gayer.

     Gayer Coffin was born on 24 May 1709. He was the son of Nathaniel Coffin and Demaris Gayer.

     Jedidah Hussey married Benjamin Coffin, son of Nathaniel Coffin and Demaris Gayer, on 5 February 1726. Jedidah Hussey died on 6 August 1759.
     As of 5 February 1726,her married name was Coffin.

     Deborah Macy was born on 17 April 1726. She married Benjamin Coffin, son of Nathaniel Coffin and Demaris Gayer. Deborah Macy died on 28 November 1803 at age 77.
     Her married name was Coffin.

     Isaac Coffin was born on 1 September 1764. He was the son of Benjamin Coffin and Deborah Macy.

     Thomas Coffin was born on 5 September 1766. He was the son of Benjamin Coffin and Deborah Macy.
     Thomas Coffin was a sea captain who sailed as far away as China in search of sperm whales. While he was away, his wife, Anna Coffin, ran a small shop in their house.¹

     Deborah Coffin was born on 25 August 1768. She was the daughter of Benjamin Coffin and Deborah Macy.
