     Ezek Carr was a cooper by trade. He lived on Willow Avenue, or then called Pudding Bag Lane, on the west side of the road, probably the old Dr. James Peckham Place.

His will, made 16 May 1739, and proved 12 Nov. 1744: "To son Robert my whole estate, both real and personal, excepting my burial place near my dwelling house in LC, and he to erect a handsome stone-wall around one fourth an acre; to children of daughter Mary, wife of John Brownell, 10 pounds; to daughter Sarah Thurston 5 pounds; to daughter Elizabeth, the wife of Samuel Wilbore, 5 pounds; to daughter Ann, the wife of Jonathan Wood, 5 pounds; to daughter Susannah, the wife of Thomas Wilbore, 3 pounds; to the children of daughter Margaret Closson 6 pounds each; to daughter Thankful, wife of William Lake 5 pounds; to grandaughter Deborah Carr, daughter of son Ezek deceased, 50 pounds..."¹

     Jonathan Davol was granted 5,000 acres of land in East Greenwich, RI with many other settlers, but he never settled there. He moved to Dartmouth, where he sold 19 Aug 1698 to Nathaniel Potter Sr. of Dartmouth, 50 acres for 15 pounds. An alternate source says he owned land in the Thomas Hawley Patent, 50,000 acres in Westchester.^3,4
